Moore, Parks & Recreation Director <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Michelle Olson, Program Supervisor MI9 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Spring 2001 Recreation Program Report <br /> <br />Attached you will find the Spring, 2001 Program Report for the Recreation Department. <br /> <br />Summary: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />@ We offered 35 classes in 2001, serving 564 participants. This is down from <br />42 classes. serving 830 participants in 2000. , <br />@ We averaged 16 children per class, down from an average of 19.76 per class in <br />2000. <br />@ We cancelled three classes, which is a 91 % success rate compared to last <br />year's five classes cancelled at a 88% success rate. <br /> <br />Conclusion: <br />We did experience a decline in participants (-266) from last year due in large part to the <br />following programs: <br /> <br />Egg Hunt... -99 participants (Weather was a huge factor) <br />USA Youth Tennis Carnival ... -34 participants (Construction forced us to move <br />the location of the carnival to Roseville.) <br />Spring Ceramics (4 Classes) ... -44 participants (The instructor who taught these <br />specialty classes, sold her business.) <br />Track - Valentine Hills'" -18 participants (Numbers vary each year) <br />Track - Island Lake'" -19 participants (Numbers vary each year) <br /> <br />TOTAL of -214 for the above programs <br /> <br />Overall, we had a very successful spring season! <br /> <br />. <br />
