Food Ventures (Perkins) <br />Expansion of Perkins Restaurant <br />1-694 and Lexington Avenue <br /> <br />. Request <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting Site Plan approval to expand the 4320 sf Perkins Restaurant at this <br />site at 1-694 and Lexington by an 1176 sf addition to the north side of the structure. The addition <br />will provide a new area for the lobby, bakery, and new restroom facilities, relocate the entrance <br />to the restaurant and allow other changes within the present structure. <br /> <br />Pronosal <br /> <br />A new 24 ft x 50 ft addition will be extended toward 1-694 from approximately half ofthe north <br />facade of the building, see enclosed Plan Sheets I, Site Plan and 2, Floor Plan, carrying a new, <br />more complex, animated and higher interest image, see Sheet 4, Proposed Modification to the <br />North Elevation. The new image, with false and true windows, awnings, gooseneck lamp <br />fixtures, towers and a chimney, and the introduction of a standing seam metal roof on the east <br />elevation, will be carried to the east and south facades, see Sheet 3, Proposed Modifications to <br />the East and South Elevations. No modifications (other than repainting) are proposed to the west <br />facade. The new additions will be ofE.I.FS, a material that provides a stucco like finish. The <br />EIFS and the existing stucco, including the west facade, will be painted one of two shades of <br />brown and beige. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The addition will allow the building entrance to be moved from the south (Red Fox) side of the <br />building to the north (1-694) side, making the present front the back, and the present back the <br />front. <br />
