Terrorist groups often commit robberies, <br />or engage in drug trafficking and other crimes to finance their operalions. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />What policies should govern a hostage-barricade situation? <br /> <br />What is your policy on the use of deadly force? While you may have an on-going <br />policy on this, circumstances in a specific terrorist incident might require it to be modified, <br /> <br />Elected officials should make sure they appropriate sufficient resources for their <br />operational people to be adequately prepared. <br /> <br />In addition to up-to-date mutual aid agreements with neighboring jurisdictions, local <br />goverrunenls should negotiate Memoranda of Agreement with military bases in the area, <br /> <br />Ensuring Continued Government Operations <br /> <br />Make sure your provisions for succession of power are adequately addressed and thai <br />the goverrunent's essential records are safeguarded -- lax and land records and other <br />documents -- which the goverrunent needs to continue operaling.
