<br />, <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />~ <br />~~ILLS <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />December 12, 2001 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br />City Administrator Joe Lynch <br /> <br />Aaron Parrish, City Planner Iff <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Local Stormwater Management Plan <br /> <br />Backl!round <br /> <br />As Council is aware, the Metropolitan Council is requiring the City to submit a "Local <br />Stormwater Management Plan" prior to receiving final approval of our Comprehensive Plan, <br />Recently, the a draft plan was finalized and sent to various governmental agencies for their <br />review, Council has received comments from the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services, <br />Rice Creek Watershed District, and the Ramsey County Board of Soil and Water Resources in <br />past non-agenda packets. These are attached for reference. <br /> <br />SEH, the project consultant, has indicated that approximately 97% of the total project budget has <br />been expended, and that additional funds will be necessary to finalize the project. See the <br />attached letter from Joel Shilling for additional information. Based on the letter, it appears that <br />services in the amount of $2,470 have been performed outside the contract. A final cost estimate <br />will be prepared and presented for the Council's consideration at the Work Session. However, <br />the estimate will be based somewhat on the amount oftime and effort responding to and <br />incorporating other agencies comments. At this point, the following items need to be discussed <br />and/or addressed: <br /> <br />. Allocation of additonal funds to account for additional activities undertaken by the <br />proj ect consultant. <br />. To what extent are agency comments responded to. <br />. To what extent are agency comments incorporated into the Arden Hills Local Stormwater <br />Management Plan. <br />
