Moore; Director of Operations & Maintenance -C ~ <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Price Adjustment for the New Backup Generator for City Hall <br /> <br />Gentlemen, as you are both aware of, at the April 8, 2002 Council Meeting, the City <br />Council unanimously voted to purchase a new backup generator for City Hall. The City <br />Council authorized staff to purchase a mobile generator for City Hall use in an amount <br />not to exceed $35,000.00. <br /> <br />Staff presented a new cost estimate for the backup generator to the City Council at the <br />May 13, 2002 Council meeting. This estimate, which included the wiring and installation, <br />was for $40,000.00. This proposal was on the Consent Calendar and was unanimously <br />approved. <br /> <br />Staff has learned that an additional $1,582.00 will be needed for labor and 'quick <br />connects'. The quick connects allow one person to instal1/hook up the generator to the <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />Staff is requesting authorization to spend an additional $1,582.00 over the $40,000.00 <br />that was unanimously approved by the City Council at the May 13, 2002 City Council <br />meeting. <br />
