<br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />METROPOLITAN AREA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (MAMA) AND <br />COALITION OF GREATER MINNESOTA CITIES (CGMC) <br />ON BEHALF OF METROPOLITAN AREA CITIES AND <br />GREATER MINNESOTA CITIES SUBSCRIBERS AND <br />LABOR RELATIONS ASSOCIATES, INC. (LRA) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A. PlJRPOSF OF AGRFFMENT <br /> <br />The purpose of this AGREEMENT is to provide for labor relations services, <br />employee compensation analyses and personnel services to subscriber Twin Cities <br />Metropolitan Area and Greater Minnesota Cities and remuneration for such services as <br />outlined below. <br /> <br />B. SERVI(;FS TO BE PROVIDED <br /> <br />1. For (;itiAs in thA Twin (;itiAS Metropolitiln Arefl <br /> <br />Labor Relations Associates, Inc. - Principals and Associates - will not charge <br />individual subscriber cities for the services outlined as follows: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />A Principal of LRA will participate with subscriber cities in any joint <br />negotiations, mediation, or labor/management committee involving two or <br />more subscribers and a common union representing similar bargaining <br />units when the cities choose to bargain jointly. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />b. A Principal of LRA will consult with subscriber cities' elected and/or <br />appointed officials by telephone, letter, FAX, or in person with regard to <br />their individual labor relations, employee compensation, and personnel <br />matters. <br /> <br />c. LRA Principals will provide subscribers with data maintained by LRA and as <br />provided for by this AGREEMENT, make recommendations as to <br />commonly used language to be placed in Labor Agreements, make <br />recommendations for initial City response to grievances filed by employee <br />organizations, make recommendations regarding individual arbitrators in <br />interest and/or grievance arbitration cases, provide recommendations with <br />regard to the general content of a subscriber's personnel policies and <br />practices, provide initial recommendations regarding responses to State <br />administrative agencies involving such issues as Workers' Compensation, <br />Unemployment Compensation, Veterans' Preference, Equal Employment <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />, <br />
