e e . 2.0 CONTRIBUTION AGREEMENT CITIES OF ARDEN HILLS, NORTH OAKS AND SHOREVIEW LAKE JOHANNA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT 1.0 Parties. This contract is entered into by and between the Cities of Arden Hills, North Oaks, and Shoreview, statutory cities under Chapter 412 of Minnesota Statutes (herein "cities") and the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department Inc., a non-profit corporation organized and existing under the provisions of Chapter 317 A of Minnesota Statutes (herein "Fire Department"); and shall be effecti ve upon approval of all parties. Purpose and Recitals. A. The Fire Department provides fire protection services to the Cities pursuant to the terms of fire service agreements between the Fire Department and each of the cities. B. The Cities wish to contribute funds to the Fire Department in addition to the Cities' annual payment for fire protection services provided the funds are used for purchase of a fire tanker truck pursuant to the terms of this agreement. C. The fire tanker truck was originally scheduled to be purchased in 2003, however, due to an impending ISO rating and review, it is in the best interest of the Cities to purchase this truck in 2002. 3.0 Terms and Conditions. In consideration of the mutual undertakings herein expressed, the parties agree as follows: A. The Cities shall contribute a total of $208,663 to the Fire Department for the fire tanker truck either upon receipt of the vehicle by the Fire Department, or by January 31, 2003 consistent with the original Capital Plan of the Fire Department. B. The breakdown in costs per City will be consistent with the Fire Department Capital Improvement Plan as follows: North Oaks - $119,147 Shoreview - $59,678 Arden Hills- $29,839
