e

.

e

!\P/'fN01Y. r-~

AET No, 03-00944- Page 6

.

PAH analysis of soil from GP-l (2-4'), GP-l (12') and GP-3 (2-4') revealed low
concentrations of several PAR compounds.
PAH concentrations were not detected in the soil samples from GP-2 (2-4'), GP-2
(12'),and GP-3 (7-8'),

.

Groundwater Analytical Results

Groundwater samples were collected from GP-l, GP-2 and GP-3, A summary of groundwater

analysis fIndings is listed below and shown on Table 2, Appendix C contains the Legend report,

. DRO analysis of groundwater from GP-2 showed a concentration of 320 parts per billion

(Ppb) , No concentrations of DRO above the laboratory deteetion level were noted in

groundwater collected form GP-l and GP-3, The DRO noted within the groundwater

of GP-2 was noted by the laboratory as being atypical of petroleum products, The

chromatogram for this sample is attached to Legend's report.

. No PAR concentrations were detected in the groundwater samples submitted for

analysis.

DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS

The results of this Limited Soil/Groundwater Assessment reveal the following conclusions:

. Low eoncentrations of DRO and PAR contaminated soil exists within the fill soils of

GP-l and GP-3, and DRO was noted within the surficial groundwater of GP-2.

. Since DRO coneentrations were noted by the laboratory as atypieal of petroleum

products, it is likely the DRO concentrations are due to the existenee of PAR

contaminants.

. The PAR concentrations noted within fill soils from GP-l and GP-3 are eonsidered low

and are below MPCA established Tier 2 (Industrial) Soil Reference Values (SRVs).
