The group indicated that it is <br />not an exclusive residential use development and that anyone of the initial uses could start the <br />project. The group indicated there would need to be a commercial retail component of the project <br />in order to assist with the financial costs involved. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant asked about the resources for the environmental clean up. Mr, Noonan <br />indicated that the group has not retained a firm but would hire a group if they were selected as <br />the developer. The group has relationships with several environmental firms. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson asked about the ability to assist the City in seeking release of the land <br />from the federal government. Mr. Ricks indicated that they are very familiar with the process of <br />dealing with the legislative issues identified. He cited an example of Baldwin Park Development. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS <br /> <br />Mayor Probst recessed the special City Council meeting at 6: 11 p.m. and the Council adjowned <br />to interview four Planning Commission candidates. <br />1.
