We
have had two meetings with Mr. Steve Albertson from Aero Drapery and Blind. His company
has been installing Vision Shades in many commercial buildings and schools.

The Vision Shade is a roller shade that controls heat and glare while maintaining vision to the
outside. These shades are available in various weave patterns, colors and openness factors. Mr.
Albertson recommends these Advanced Shades instead of vertical or horizontal blinds. The
Advanced Shades are maintenance free and need no cleaning.

The shades roll up into a fascia at the top that is painted to match the window trim and the shades
disappear when rolled up_ Initially we were quoted a price to cover the west windows on the first
floor and second floor, one north window on the first floor and the west windows in the Council
Chambers.

The cost includes custom painted fascias, installation and tax, and totals $8,169.62.
City Administrator office $1,067.13
Open office area west $1,067.13
Second floor west area and conference room $2,385.60
Deputy clerk office $ 653.91
Council Chambers $2.995_85
TOTAL $8,169.62

These shades are also available motorized. Motorized shades for the Council Chambers would
cost an additional $2,335.
