<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of -,'\rden Hills Personnel Policy <br /> <br />Effeetive June 29, 2002 <br /> <br />Summer Hours <br />The City Council may annually approve summer hours of operation which will typically begin <br />on Monday of the first full week in June each year and end Friday, the last full week in <br />August of each year. <br /> <br />HOLIDAYS <br /> <br />All full-time employees are eligible for the following holidays: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br />Martin Luther King, Jr. Day <br />President's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veterans Day <br />Thanksgiving <br />Day after Thanksgiving <br />Christmas Eve <br />Christmas <br />New Year's Eve <br /> <br />January 1st <br />Third Monday in January <br />Third Monday in February <br />Last Monday in May <br />July 4th <br />First Monday in September <br />November 11th <br />Fourth Thursday in November <br />Fourth Friday in November <br />December 24th <br />December 25th <br />December 31st <br /> <br />Employees will receive full pay for eight (8) hours for each holiday listed provided the <br />employee is on compensated payroll status the last assigned work day preceding the holiday, <br />and the first assigned work day following the holiday. Employees required to work on a <br />designated holiday shall be compensated two (2) times their base hourly pay rate for each <br />hour worked. Regular or part-time employees who work an average of 20 hours a week or <br />more will be eligible for pro-rated holiday pay. This pay will be based on their average daily <br />hours worked. <br /> <br />Whenever a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be considered the holiday. <br />Whenever a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be considered the holiday. <br /> <br />23 <br />
