CUB <br />FOODS/OPPIDAN INVESTMENTS. 3715 LEXINGTON AVENUE <br /> <br />Staff reviewed their report dated May 28, 2002 and asked for comments relative to the <br />plan. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Commissioller Zimmerman asked if they were prepared to issue a liquor license. Mr. <br />Parrish replied there was a liquor license available and this was an issue the City Council <br />would deal with. <br /> <br />Commissioller Zimmerman asked about the rail line. Mr. Parrish stated applicant would <br />need to work with the rail owners to have the easemellt vacated. This was a private <br />easement and would not have a follow the City vacatioll processes. <br /> <br />Commissioncr Ricke asked how much of the square footage was going to be retail and <br />how much was warehouse. Mr. Parrish stated he did not have these numbers, but that the <br />applicant may be able to provide a breakdown. <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated he would like to see more green space along Lexington Avenue, either <br />by reducing parking or adding more landscaping along Lcxington Avenue. He stated <br />without a planting or landscaping plan it was hard to know what this site would look like <br />from Lexington Avenue. Mr. Parrish replied a landscape plan would be submitted in the <br />future. He requested the signage be reduced also. He requested having a different <br />material at the doorway entrances that would break up the cut-stone. He recommended <br />the "low priced leader" sign be removed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ricke stated she also had the same concerns as Chair Sand with respect to A <br />thc amount of signage and the lack of greenspace. _ <br /> <br />Commissioner Galatowitsch stated she would also like to see more greenspace. <br />
