In the alternative, the City Council may authorize the execution <br /> <br />of a contract between the City and the subdivider reqniring the snbdivider to furnish <br /> <br />and to constrnct the improvements at the sole cost ofthe snbdivider, in accordance with <br /> <br />plans and specifications and nsnal contract conditions approved by the Council, which <br /> <br />shall include provision for supervision of details of constrnction by the city engineer, <br /> <br />and grant to the engineer authority to correlate the work to be done nnder the contract <br /> <br />with other improvements in the snbdivision which may be constrncted by the City <br /> <br />under contract with others. The subdivider as contractor shall fnrnish a surety bond <br /> <br />with penalty equal to 1.25 times the cost of the improvements to be made under the <br /> <br />contract as estimated by the city engineer, which bond will be in form required by <br /> <br />statnte for pnblic contractors bonds and will identify the improvements and the time <br /> <br />schednle for their completion. <br /> <br />1140.05 Utilities. All utilities shall be installed underground as provided in this code. All <br /> <br />nnderground work shall be completed prior to street surfacing. <br /> <br />1140.06 Sidewalks. Sidewalks may be required along both sides of all streets; pedestrian ways <br /> <br />shall be paved and fenced as approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />1140.07 Curb and Gutter.
