<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Job Description <br /> <br />POSITION: <br />DEPARTMENT: <br />REPORTS TO: <br /> <br />Operations and Maintenance Director <br />Operations and Maintenance <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates all activities of the Maintenance and <br />Operations Department including the divisions of Streets, Water, Sewer, Parks and <br />Recreational Program and Activities. Monitors operations of the Maintenance and <br />Operations Department to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, <br />policies, and ordinances. <br /> <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION <br /> <br />Develops long range pianning and development of the Operations and Maintenance <br />Department. <br /> <br />Provides assistance, including conducting or oversight of feasibility and cost studies to the <br />City Administrator and City Council, which will assist in the planning of the City's public <br />works and improvement programs. <br /> <br />Prepares and administers the annual departmentai budget and monitors expenditures of <br />funds in budget. <br /> <br />Represents the City with state and county officials. <br /> <br />Directs operations of the water and sewer divisions to ensure compliance with all <br />applicable State and Federal health regulations, as well as meeting the present and future <br />water and sewer needs of the City and its customers. <br /> <br />Monitors operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, policies <br />and ordinances. <br /> <br />Develops and oversees policies, procedures and practices to ensure safety and efficiency. <br /> <br />Oversees the development of the department safety program inciuding coordination of <br />monthly safety meetings. <br />
