Each new subdivision becomes a permanent unit in the <br /> <br />basic physical structure ofthe future community, a unitto which the future community will of <br /> <br />necessity be forced to adhere. Piecemeal planning of such subdivisions without correlation to <br /> <br />the City plan, will bring a disastrous disconnected patchwork of plats and poor circulation of <br /> <br />traffic. in order that new subdivisions will contribute toward an attractive, orderly, stable and <br /> <br />wholesome community environment, adequate municipal services and safe streets, all <br /> <br />subdivisions platted within the incorporated limits of the City following the adoption of this <br /> <br />code, shall in all respects, fully comply with the regulations set forth in this chapter. In their <br /> <br />interpretation and application, the provisions of this chapter shall be the minimum <br /> <br />requirements adopted for the protection of the public health, safety and general welfare. <br /> <br />State law reference - Subdivision regulations, M.S.A. ~ 462.358 <br /> <br />1100.02 Scope. <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Except in the case of a resubdivision, this chapter shall not apply to any lot or <br /> <br />lots forming a part of subdivision plats recorded in the office ofthe register of deeds or <br /> <br />registrar oftitles prior to March 27, 1967, nor is it intended by this chapter to impair or <br /> <br />interfere with existing provisions of other laws or provisions of this code except those <br /> <br />11-1 <br />Public Hearing Draft <br />
