Septembcr 4, 2002 Honorable Mayor and City Council City of Arden Hills 1245 West Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112 RE: Karth Lake Pumping Station Dear Mayor and Council: As directed by City Staff, we have completed a feasibility analysis for maintaining the level of Karth Lake under high water conditions, As part of this analysis previous studies and options have been reviewcd, in addition the current lake level have been surveyed, Both short term (temporary pumping systems) and long term (permanent lift station) solutions have been studicc\, ~arth Lake is approximately a 16-acre lake located in the northeast corner of Arden Hills sourh of CSAH ~6 and inbetween Lexington Avenue and Hamline Avenue, There are approximately 45 residential properties surrounding Karth Lake and Cummings Park is located on the southern end of the lqke Background Karth Lake is a land-locked water body under DNR jurisdiction and located within the Rice Creek Watershed District. The published normal water level is 929,8 feet above sea level.
