Ramsey County staff also indicated that they would not be opposed to a rental <br />situation but that would not be a likely favorable position taken by the Ramsey County Board of <br />Commissioners. <br /> <br />Ramsey County staff also talked about a time schedule for Phase I services and indicated a <br />prelirninary schedule for demolition and construction as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />September 15-20, 2002 <br /> <br />Meeting between Ramsey County, City of Arden Hills, and <br />other Ramsey County staff involved in the evaluation of <br />RFP for Phase I services to a short list architectural <br />servIces. <br /> <br />September 23-27, 2002 <br /> <br />Invite short listed architectural services in for a formal <br />interview and presentation to the selection committee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />October 1, 2002 <br /> <br />Presentation to the Ramsey County Board for consideration <br />for decision in selection of a final architectural firm to <br />provide Phase I services. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />January 2003 <br /> <br />Begin demolition of existing buildings. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Late summer to <br />early fall 2003 <br /> <br />Begin construction of the public works facility. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />December 2004/January 2005 Occupancy of new public works facility. <br /> <br />Space Needs <br />I have asked the O&M Director to review the proposed space and recommend those areas that <br />can be eliminated or reduced because of duplication, lack of need or ability to provide space in <br />another fashion. Tom Moore and Jim Perron have drafted a preliminary change program to the <br />original space needs document from TKDA. <br /> <br />At this time, they believe that we could eliminate 2,923 square feet broken down as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />Park & Recreation Director Office S ace <br />SecretarylReceptionist Office Space <br />Restroom (can be provided by the restroom ortion for City staff) <br />Trailer Space (reduce one 20 foot stall and one 12 foot stall) <br />Toro Mower Space eliminate storage need for two units) <br />Wood Shop Area <br />Hazardous Waste Storage Area <br />
