Planning Case No. 02-228: Arden Tower Special Use Permit, 1777 <br />Gateway Boulevard <br /> <br />Mr. Parrish explained based on previous Council direction, staff had negotiated a <br />settlement agreement to address outstanding building, zoning, and code <br />enforcement issues on the Arden Towers property. He stated one of the primary <br />components of the settlement agreement was an amendment to the existing Special <br />Use Permit. He indicated the Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br />revised Special Use Permit. <br /> <br />Council Member Larson asked if they were willing to pay the building permits for <br />the additional six antennas. Mr. Vaughan replied US West had already paid for the <br />building permits for those six antennas. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Grant moved and Council Member Aplikowski <br />seconded to approve Planning Case No. 02-228: Arden Tower Special <br />Use Permit and Settlement Agreement, 1777 Gateway Boulevard as <br />presented. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />2. Guidant Alternative Urban Area Wide Review <br /> <br />Mr. Parrish explained in anticipation of the environmental review under the <br />Minnesota Environmental Policy Act, Guidant wanted to begin the environmental <br />review process required. He explained as the Responsible Governmental Unit, the <br />City must make the determination of what type of environmental review was most <br />appropriate. <br />
