Condon and Associates. At
that meeting, staff discussed identification of needs, project outcomes, and action plans for the
2003 Retreat.

Ms. Condon proposes a three-part process when working with Council and Staff to create a
vision, mission and strategies for the coming year.

The first step is an informal meeting between each Councilmember and Ms. Condon. This
casual meeting allows the faciHtator to' introduce herself, get to know each Councilmember and
learn about individual challenges and concerns. In other words, at your convenience, an "over
coffee type" hour-long meeting will provide Ms. Condon with information she will use to
prepare your agenda for the remainder of the process, which is the actual 2003 Retreat.

Staff welcomes direction from the Council to proceed with this approach to the 2003 Retreat,
recognizing completion of the remaining meetings to establish priorities would occur in
November, 2002.
