<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 18, 2002 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Dave Hamernick said the general comment [from the Army Nation Guard] was to <br />see that the northern area of the site remain open space, and because there is forty <br />acres available, the building could be located close to the proposed Ramsey County <br />maintenance Facility. He also mentioned that a State Area Command facility is <br />planned for the future somewhere north of Sunfish Lake. He noted that the Army <br />Reserve has also indicated an interest in the site. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested the Council direct staff arrange a meeting with himself, <br />Mayor-Elect Aplikowski, Representative McCollum, a representative from <br />Ramsey County, General Andreotti and Administrator Lynch. <br /> <br />4.A Citv Commission/Committee Appointments <br /> <br />Administrator Lynch presented an overview of the City committees and <br />commissions and requested direction from the Council to reappoint members who <br />have expressed a desire to return to those positions. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski said she likes the idea of having the Communications <br />Committee and the Web site Task Force join as one committee. She suggested the <br />Council also interview candidates to fill the vacancy on the Council early in <br />January. <br /> <br />Council Reports: <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant reminded the Council of the Ramsey County League of <br />Local Governments Annual Meeting and Recognition Event at the Lido Cafe in <br />Roseville on December 12,2002. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson said the PTRC would be meeting next week, and <br />complimented the newly installed Arden Hills Parks signage. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem presented an arsenal survey and a TCCAP wildlife corridor <br />handout. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski said the Events Committee has set the Day in the <br />Park Event for the last week in June of2003. She said it had been a busy 2-weeks <br />and had also been lobbied by many people concerning the vacancy on the City <br />council. <br />
