<br />ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - NOVEMBER 6, 2002 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Chair Sand moved, seconded by Commissioner Ricke, to approve Planning Case #02-29, <br />The Davidson Companies, 1240 West County Road E, Special Use Permit, subject to the <br />following conditions and recommendations: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I. That all proposals of the applicant be conditions of approval unless stated here, <br />which refers to the Description of Requests located on the backside of Page 5 <br />of staffs October 30, 2002 report and the site and landscape plans attached to <br />the application. <br /> <br />2. That all necessary building permits be secured from the City Building <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />3. That the number of handicapped accessible parking spaces complies with the <br />State Building Code requirements. <br /> <br />4. A plan of new signage to be erected shall be submitted for review and <br />approval ofthe Council. <br /> <br />5. If a curb-cut was utilized on County Road E, that approval from Ramsey <br />County is obtained. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (6-0). <br /> <br />UNFINISIIED AND NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A. PLANNING CASE #02-31 - HELEN HARRlNGTON. 2001 W. COUNTY ROAD <br />D. ZONING ORDINANCE VARIANCE <br /> <br />Staff stated applicant was requesting a variance to allow construction of a garage five feet <br />from the west property line. Staff recommended approval of the five (5) foot variance <br />request for the Side Yard Interior (accessory) setback be approved as submitted. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ricke asked how the proposed location differed from the previous <br />location. Mr. Hellegers replied the original garage was constructed three feet from the <br />west property line. The new garage would be five feet, so it would shift to the right, but <br />it would be consistent with the setback allowed for an attached garage in the same <br />district. <br /> <br />Chair Sand asked if the original garage was a single or a double garage. The applicants <br />replied it had been a double garage and they were proposing to replace it with a double <br />garage. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman moved, seconded by Commissioner Ricke, to recommend to <br />Council to approve Plamling Case #02-31, Helen Harrington, 2001 W. County Road D, <br />Zoning Ordinance Variance as submitted. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (6-0) <br />
