Location Map

Overview

At the November 12,2002 Council meeting, the Council authorized the replacement of the three
meters measuring water from the City of Roseville. One of these meters is located at the
intersection of County Road D and Cleveland Avenue. This is adjacent to the site where there is
an approved POD for an office building. The property owner is also requesting an amendment to
that POD which is currently being processed.

As part of the meter replacement, electrical service needs to be run to the three meter pits. At the
meter pit located at Cleveland and County Road D, the only electrical service available in the
right-of-way is located across County Road D in Roseville. As such, a pole has been placed at
the comer of County Road D and Cleveland in Arden Hills so electrical service can run over
County Road D. Once over County Road D, the service would run underground to the meter pit.

As the Council may recall, this comer is designated as a gateway to Arden Hills. In addition, a
condition of the Nelson POD is to provide a sign easement and a trail at the comer. Placing the
pole in this area impacts both of these items. To maintain the easement area, the proposed trail,
and the ability to provide a gateway sign in the future, staff has worked with Mr. Nelson, the
property owner, on an alternative. This is outlined on the attached map.
