The land would end up with the CDUnty
cleaned to a standard suitable for a wildlife and recreatiDn corridDr. thus fulfilling the visiDn of
the VentD Plan for a connection between Rice Creek and the future regional park reserve.

In order that the federal government retain responsibility to complete cleanup of site C. it is
necessary that the 49 acres not be included in the lands designated fro Early Transfer Authonty.
We note in the City's propDsed leller to GSA asking to initiate the Early Transfer Authority that
such Un exemption of the 49 acres has not been considered.

We are seeking your help in obtaining an exemption of the 49 acre wildlife conidor from the
Early Transfer AuthDrity so that the cleanup can be accomplished by the Army to their credn in
the public interest of establishing the wildlife comdor. It would be most effective if such a
request is included by the City of Arden Hills in the" letter to GSA.

Thank you for your consideration of this approach.
