<br />I. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Extract of Minutes of Meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Arden Hills <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to Que call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br /> <br /> <br />. the City Council of the City of Arden hills, Minnesota, was duly <br /> <br /> <br />held at the City liall in said City on Monday, the 28th day of <br /> <br />November, 1983, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Woodburn and <br /> <br />Councilmen McAllister, Hicks, Mulcahy and Christiansen; and the <br /> <br />following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilman McAllister introduced and moved the adoption of the <br /> <br />following resolution: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 83-68 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION POSTPONING <br />OPENING OF BIDS ON <br />IMPROVEMENT NO. W-8~-4 <br /> <br />WhEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 83-62 passed by the City <br /> <br />Council on October 31, 1983, bids on Improvement No. W-83-4 were <br /> <br />to be received by the City Clerk-Administrator until 2:00 o'clock <br /> <br />p.m. on November 28, 1983; and <br /> <br />WhEREAS, a blizzard and fire, closing the New Brighton Post <br /> <br />Office, had created emergency conditions in the City whereby public <br /> <br />travel has been curtailed and mail delivery has been delayed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council finds that in this emergency situation <br /> <br />the public purposes of the competitive bidding laws would be <br />... better served by a postponement in the date of receipt and <br /> <br />opening of bids to allow for delayed delivery: <br />
