<br />, <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />f <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />I~. 3'Q <br /> <br />Extract of Minutes of Meeting <br />of City Council <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> <br />June 30, 1986 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br /> <br />of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, was <br /> <br />duly held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, June 30, 1986, <br /> <br />commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members of the Council were present: Mayor <br /> <br />Woodburn and Council members Hicks, Hansen, Peck and Sather. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were Clerk-Administrator McNiesh, <br /> <br />Deputy Clerk Zehm, Public Works Supervisor Raddatz, Treasurer <br />Lamb, and City Engineers Christoffersen and Peters. <br />City Engineer Christoffersen referred the Council to his <br /> <br />letter of June 27, 1986 and the attached bid tabulation for <br /> <br />Improvement <br /> <br />P-85-3--Hamline <br /> <br />Phase <br /> <br />Mr. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />No. <br /> <br />Avenue, <br /> <br />Christoffersen reported that the bids ranged from a low bid of <br /> <br />$872,648.23 to a high of $970,968.99. <br /> <br />He noted that the bids <br /> <br />included alternatives for planting and sidewalk on the east side <br /> <br />of Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />He recommended the City's awarding the <br /> <br />contract to the lowest bidder, Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. He <br /> <br />explained that the reason the project was going to cost <br /> <br /> <br />$95,000.00 over the original estimate in the Feasibility Report <br /> <br />was the extra granular material in the road subgrade which was <br /> <br />recommended by the testing company. <br /> <br />The Council in discussing this matter registered concern <br /> <br />relative to the costs of the project.
