It <br />was noted that the residents opposing the walkway are adjacent to <br /> <br />Hamline Avenue. The Wyncrest and Wynridge residents, one of the <br />Council members pointed out, favor the walkway segment. The cost <br /> <br />of the walkway segment was indicated to be $10,920.70. <br />Council member Sather explained that the east walkway was <br /> <br />proposed as a systematic approach to crossing Hamline Avenue on a <br /> <br />painted crosswalk where Floral Park is located so that citizens <br /> <br />would have safe access to Cummings and Floral Parks. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Council member Hicks introduced <br /> <br />and moved the adoption of the following Resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-30 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT NO. P-85-3 (HAMLINE AVENUE, PHASE II) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Advertisement for Bids for Improve- <br /> <br />ment No. P-85-3, Hamline Avenue, Phase II (the "Improvement"), <br /> <br />according to the plans and specifications (the "Plans") therefor <br /> <br />on file in the office of the Clerk-Administrator in the City, <br />bids were received on June 12, 1986 at 2:00 o'clock p.m., opened <br /> <br />and tabulated according to law, and the bids were received in <br /> <br />compliance with the Advertisement, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. is <br /> <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of <br /> <br /> <br />. $872,648.23, <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA THAT: <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
