<br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-5 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-P-ST-85-2 <br />(EDGEWATER ESTATES) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for Improve- <br /> <br />ment No. SS-W-P-ST-85-2, Edgewater Estates (the "Improvement"), <br />according to the plans and specifications (the "Plans") therefor <br /> <br />on file in the office of the Clerk-Administrator in the City, <br />bids were received on January 23, 1986 at 2:00 o'clock p.m., <br /> <br />opened and tabulated according to law. and the bids set forth on <br />the tabulation attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit <br /> <br />"A" were received in compliance with the advertisement, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. it appears that C. W. Houle. Inc. is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $193,667.35. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA THAT: <br /> <br />1. C. W. Houle, Inc. be awarded the right to <br />construct the Improvement; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor and Clerk-Administrator of the City <br />be authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract--in the name of the City--with <br />C. W. Houle, Inc. for its performance of all of <br />the work embodied in the Improvement for the <br />sum of $193,667.35 which work shall be done in <br />accordance with the Plans therefor heretofore <br />approved by the City Council (in Resolution No. <br />85-59 adopted by the Council on November 12, <br />1985) and on file in the office of the Clerk- <br />Administrator; and <br /> <br />3. The Clerk-Administrator be authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids except that the <br />deposits of C. W. Houle, Inc., the successful <br />bidder, and the next lowest bidder shall be <br />retained until contracts have been signed. <br />
