<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-08 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING ALL CITY-OWNED BUILDINGS <br />AND VEHICLES SMOKE FREE EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 29, 1992 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills recognizes the importance of <br />providing a safe, healthy, and productive environment to those <br />who work or visit the city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in recognition of the 1975 Indoor Clean Air Act and the <br />nation-wide trend to establish smoke free public buildings, the <br />city has determined it to be in the best interest of staff, <br />residents and visitors to City-owned buildings that all city- <br />owned buildings and vehicles to be designated Smoke Free. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective February 29, 1992, <br />smoking of cigarettes, pipes, and cigars will not be permitted in <br />any City-owned buildings or vehicles as outlined in the <br />Administrative Policy regarding Smoke Free Workplace Policy <br />attached hereto as "Exhibit A". <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE <br />of February, 1992. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL this loth <br /> <br />'-rI2:~ J {1 IL~C\lc_tcO <br /> <br />-Them35 R. gathep, Mayor <br /> <br />day <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Thomas Mahowald, Acting Mayor <br /> <br />~ 7C 8~ <br />Gary .
