<br />. / <br /> <br />EXTENSION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, Made this 29th day of June, 1987, by and between the <br />City of Arden Hills, MN (hereinafter referred to as the "the City"), a <br /> <br />statutory city under the laws of the State of Minnesota, and the Lake Johanna <br /> <br />Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., (hereinafter referred to as "the Fire <br /> <br />Department"), a Minnesota corporation. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Fire Department are signatories to that <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Protection <br /> <br />Agreement, <br /> <br />(hereinafter <br /> <br />referred to as "the <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Agreement"), originally dated the 11th day of October, 1977 , which now expires <br />on the 30th day of June, 1987; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Fire Department are presently re-negotiating <br /> <br />the terms of the Agreement, but have not reached a conclusion; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and Fire Department desire to extend the terms of <br /> <br />the Agreement pending conclusion of their negotiations so that the City will <br /> <br />have fire protection services, and the Fire Department will have assurances <br /> <br />that their services will be remunerated under the levels specified in the <br /> <br />Agreement; <br /> <br />extend <br /> <br />which <br /> <br />NOW, <br />the <br />the <br /> <br />THEREFORE, the City and the Fire Department hereby agree to <br />Agreement until the earlier of, December 31, 1987, or that date on <br /> <br />terms and conditions of the new Fire Protection Agreement, <br /> <br />(hereinafter referred to as "the New Agreement"), have been mutually agreed <br /> <br />upon by the City and the Fire Department. <br />negotiated the terms and conditions of <br /> <br />When the parties have successfully <br /> <br />the New Agreement, any additional <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />remuneration which may be due the Fire Department, by the City, for the period <br />
