<br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The most-recent United States Census found that approximately 6,000 persons <br />over the age of 18 in the conununities of the Mounds View School District do not <br />have a high school diploma; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, There is a continuing need for literacy, adult basic education and English as a <br />second language; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, It is important for the conununity to know that such programs are available <br />through the Adult Basic Education program of the Mounds View School District; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Literacy Action Council of the District 621 ABE program will host an open <br />house "Celebration of Literacy" for the public on Saturday, November 4 at the <br />Ralph R. Reeder Conununity Education Center in New Brighton; <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor, Councilmembers, and the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, do <br />hereby proclaim November 4, 1995, as "Celebration of Literacy Day" in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />BY PROCLAIMED THIS 30TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1995. <br /> <br /> <br />Ycui2L W\~k <br /> <br />PaulL.
