<br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />JANUARY 13,2003 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />21, 2003, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. They were also holding meetings in <br />Falcon Heights on Thursday, January 23, 2003, Roseville on Tuesday, January 28, <br />2003, and White Bear Lake on Thursday, January 30, 2003. She noted the <br />Ingerson Road project discussions were pending on a letter from DorIe Vawter, on <br />behalf of Josephine Hills Association, and an e-mail from Linda Swanson <br />regarding the width of Hamline Avenue and trail and traffic control at the <br />intersection with Ingerson. Council Member Rem stated she had received a letter <br />from Gene Scales about a resident petition concerning Guidant issues and they <br />would like a response from the Council. She noted the Events Task Force meeting <br />on January 9, 2003, scheduled the "Day in the Park" for 2003 on Saturday, June <br />28, 2003, from 3:00 p.m. until dusk. There will be events for families and <br />individuals of all ages. She indicated the Events Task Force was looking for <br />volunteers to help with specific tasks for short periods of time during that event. <br />She stated she had received a request to attend League of Minnesota Cities <br />"experienced Officials Conference" in St. Louis Park on February 28, 2003, <br />through March 1, 2003, and she planned to attend the conference. <br /> <br />. Mayor Aplikowski stated Council Member Holden would be the Council Liaison <br />to the Communications Committee. She stated she had received a letter from <br />Representative McCollum inviting Mayors and leaders to a press conference on <br />January 23, 2003, to urge the President and Senate to pass 3.5 billion in <br />emergency homeland security funding. She asked the Council if someone should <br />go to that press conference. <br /> <br />Council Member Rem requested staff check with the neighboring communities to <br />determine if they were going to send a City representative to the press conference. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski requested the Emergency Preparedness Plan be updated and be <br />added to a future agenda item for discussion. <br /> <br />. <br />
