I
I.
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
--
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
{'
I

The AUAR should mentions tying construction of future structures to:

. Heights not to exceed stated heights (as measured above sea level) of
those of adjacent building roof structures or as stated in current
documents, display boards and presentations provided to the community.

4 - Pace 7 Proposed Parkinc Ramps

Seven (7) new parking ramps are proposed on the Guidant Campus having a
total of 7,027 spaces. Parking ramps have been a continual point of contention
with the residential neighbors to both the west and northwest. Guidant has made
some compromises on lowering heights on perimeter ramps and increasing
heights on interior ramps to reduce objections to sight, night lighting and potential
noise.

-+

This point (i.e. lowering) was mentioned on page 54 but is vague with respect to
which ramps will be constructed below grade.

The AUAR mentions should task Guidant with:

. Exploring other options, a number of which are mentioned such as ride
sharing.

-
!'::'

. Exploring other parking areas. The expense of buiiding parking ramps
has to be significant and Guidant should examine offsite options. One
area includes the property just south of County Road F. These options
will further reduce traffic.

fb

5 - Pace 10 Green Buffers

The AUAR and referenced Guidant Master Plan propose campus development
within the area currently occupied by officellimited uses and maintains a "green"
buffer between the campus and adjacent land use in conformity with zoning
regulations".

At the current time, this "green" buffer includes burns, trees and shrubs.

The AUAR should describe:

. How Guidant will maintain the "green" buffer in the future with respect to
current levels or better. This has been a point of contention between
neighboring residents. Page 54 vaguely mentions this point, but does not
commit to future maintenance.

"1-
