This vegetated buffer will be further enhanced as part of the campus expansion
through the planting of additional deciduous, overstory, and coniferous trees all along the west
and northwestern portion of the site. These plantings will be included in Guidant's landscape
plan for the campus. The parking ramps were designed to accommodate parking levels below
grade thereby reducing the overall height of the ramps and further minimizing the visual impacts
to adjacent residents. Ramps 3 and 4 in the northwest portion ofthe site will be constructed with
one and two levels below grade, respectively. Ramps 5, 6 and 7 will be constructed with two
levels below grade and Ramps land 2 will be constructed with a halflevel below grade.

3.6.3 Implementation Information

AGENCY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEW OF IMP ACTS/MITIGATION PLANS

. However, as specific devejopment plans are completed and more information
becomes available, or as regulatory requirements change, environmental concerns or issues that
differ from those addressed in the AUAR or Mitigation Plan may be idcntified. Also, new
information concerning feasible and practicable mitigation measures may be developed after
adoption of this Mitigation Plan. In these instances, development plans will be reviewed
consistent with the new information, while maintaining the basic intent and process identified in
this Mitigation Plan. As required by Minnesota Environmental Quality Board regulations (Minn.
Rules, PI. 4410.3610, subp. 7), the AUAR and the Mitigation Plan will be revised if any of the
specific circumstances enumerated in state regulation appjy.

Guidant Campus Master Plan
Final Ivlitigation Plan

- 12-

January 2003
