Further, we are committed to ensuring that women, <br />minorities, and other protected class candidates arc not harmed by adverse impact in selection <br />procedures. We comply with all conditions and provisions of all applicable federal, state, and local <br />statutes, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to human rights and nondiscrimination, and equal <br />opportunity and affirmative action. This includes Civil Rights legislation and the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act, as well as the relevant provisions of the Minnesota State Statutes. <br /> <br />Further, we are aware of the requirements ofthe Minnesota Data Practices Act as it pertains to the <br />privacy of applicant data. We always fully comply with the Minnesota Statutes Chapter 13 which <br />contains the relevant provisions goveming data privacy in selection processes. <br /> <br />MDA's Expectations of the City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />MDA's intention is to work in full cooperation and partnership with the City of Arden Hills. To <br />complete the project in a timely and responsive manner, we will need appropriate personnel from <br />the City to: <br /> <br />. Meet with MDA in an initial planning meeting to discuss options and design the process <br />that best serves the City's needs and interests <br />. Provide any additional written information, reports, or documentation that may be helpful <br />to MDA. <br />. Assure that the Mayor and Council are available for interviews and meetings. <br />. Designate a staffmember(s) to serve as a liaison to MDA and provide other assistance to <br />the project as appropriate. <br />. Assume responsibility for payment of expenses (e.g., advertising, postage, long-distance <br />phone, and candidate expenses, etc.). <br />. Be willing to resolve problems or concerns that arise from unanticipated events <br />collaboratively with MDA, including payment for additional services, if requested, that are <br />outside of the scope ofthe project as described above. <br /> <br />Summary and Conclusions <br /> <br />We believe that our outstandiug qualification is our knowledge and understanding of the <br />requirements of successful public sector leadership, particularly at the local or municipal level. <br /> <br />MDA is committed to designing and providing selection services that are valid (measuring what we <br />say they will measure), relevant (tied directly to the qualifications for the position), fair (treat all <br />candidates consistently), and standardized (will be experienced similarly by all candidates). We <br />take seriously our responsibility to provide the highest qnality of service and hold ourselves <br />accountable to tlle highest standards of professional conduct. <br />
