<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />MDA Biography <br /> <br />Bill Handschin, Ph.D., L.P. <br />Senior Consultant <br /> <br />Bill Handschin brings out the best in people with his excellent listening skills and <br />ability to connect with managers and executives. His experience with research and <br />validation helps him understand and appreciate technical and analytical personalities. <br />Clients appreciate his patient, welcoming demeanor and his ability to give clear, <br />straightforward feedback in complicated situations. <br /> <br />Bill's expertise is shaped by years of real-world experience in working with people <br />who have technical minds. He started his career as a research scientist working on a <br />wide range of products from custard filled pastries to breast cancer medicines. He <br />made the leap into consulting after being fascinated with the difficult transition that <br />technical professionals faced when advancing into management. Today, Bill has <br />experience helping with talent management in a variety of organizations in financial <br />services, retail, manufacturing, public utilities, technology, education, and <br />government. <br /> <br />Bill co-authored the book Reinventing Yourself Life Planning After 50 with Sandra <br />Davis, and has completed numerous professional articles and presentations-too <br />many to mention here. He has also served on the board of the Minnesota Professional <br />for Psychology Applied to Work. <br /> <br />He completed his B.A. in Zoology and M.S. in Genetics and Cell Biology from the <br />University of Minnesota. He also earned a Ph.D. in Counseling and <br />Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota. He is an <br />adjunct professor at St. Mary's University and an instructor in the Counseling <br />Psychology Training Program at the University of Mimlesota. He is a licensed <br />psychologist in the state of Minnesota. <br /> <br />Bill gets really excited about trains! He is a tireless volunteer and a member of the <br />Minnesota Transportation Museum's Board of Trustees.
