Accepted: . City of Arden Hills . . Time Schedule The process can proceed at a pace approved by the Mayor and City Council. However, once it has been started it is important to proceed in an expeditious manner. The following is a suggested schedule: Timeline Action Week 1 Prepare and Place Advertisements with International City Management Association, Minnesota Municipal League Bulletin, Wisconsin League of Municipalities web site, and on the Internet. We wonld also post the position with six graduate schools of Public Administration, (three of which are in Minnesota). All advertising costs will either be directly billed to the City of Arden Hills or will be a reimbursable expense if paid by P AA. Week 8 Closing Date for applicants (Approximately May 1, 2003) Week 9 Meet with the Mayor and City Council, or committee, to review applicants and select semi-finalists (Approximately May 7, 2003) Week 11 Meet with the Mayor aud City Council, or committee, to review semi-finalists and select finalists (Approximately May 21, 2003) Week 13 Interview finalists, select first choice, and authorize consultant to negotiate terms with final choice (Approximately May 30th & 131",2003) Week 14 Make offer and execute employment agreement in open session (knowing that it will be accepted) Week 18 New Administrator arrives (assuming that the Administrator must give approximately 30 days notice in present position-Approximately July 1, 2003) In the unlikely event that none of the finalist candidates are chosen, we will continue the search on your behalf at no added cost beyond direct expenses. In addition, if within the first year of employment the City Administrator resigns or is dismissed for cause, we will conduct another search for direct expense only.
