<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ms. Cynthia Young <br />City of Arden Hills <br />March 3. 2003 <br />Page3 <br /> <br />3600 Reference Check <br />After you choose your finalists we will conduct thorough 360' reference checks respecting the fact that a <br />recruited candidate may be interviewing with us confidentially and cannot risk having their current <br />employer becoming aware of their interest in the City of Arden Hills City Administrator position. <br /> <br />We coined the phrase '3600' because we endeavor to contact subordinates, peers, supervisors, and other <br />individuals that may know the candidate from various perspectives. The reference checks will be <br />benchmarked against the initial survey results and the position profile that we developed together at the <br />beginning of the search to assure that we are on target. <br /> <br />Additionally, we can contract an outside service to verify academic credentials, past employment records, <br />driving records, education, credit standing, and potential legal findings. <br /> <br />Outside Testing <br />The final candidate may be evaluated further by an independent outside assessment organization to test <br />the candidate against your position profile and make comparisons to others in the city administration <br />field. The assessment organization can also analyze the candidate's interpersonal management style to <br />validate or challenge the opinions you formed during your interview process. <br /> <br />The Offer <br /> <br />With your guidance we will prepare and present an offer and negotiate any points of difference on your <br />behalf. <br /> <br />We are accustomed to dealing with family issues arising from ajob change: spouse's career, children in <br />school, real estate, etc. We will assist in every way to ensure a smooth transition from the candidate's <br />current position to the City Administrator position with the City of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Follow-Up <br />After the hire, we will remain "on call" to assist you if new issues develop after the candidate has started. <br />We have a 95% success rate vs. an industry average of 77%. <br /> <br />Timetable <br />Searches of this kind typically take 60 to 90 days depending on your availability to schedule meetings and <br />interviews.
