Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Arden Hills and Brenda Davitt Overview At the February 28, 2003 Council meeting, staff was authorized to pursue and agreement to retain temporary finance and accounting services. Subsequent to that meeting, staff has been working with the City of Roseville to provide this service. After evaluating options with Roseville, it was determined that the appropriate approach would be to retain the Assistant Finance Director, Brenda Davitt, on an independent basis. See the attached e-mail from Chris Miller for additional information. I am confident that Ms. Davitt will be able to effectively manage the City's finances until a new City Accountant / City Treasurer can be hired. In addition, Ms. Davitt chairs the local Springbrook users group. This will be an asset as the City completes its conversion to the Springbrook finance software package. The attached Memorandum of Understanding outlines the general nature of the relationship between the City and Ms. Davitt. In general, Ms. Davitt will be compensated at a rate of $55 per hour.
