I
I.
I
.
I
.
I
I
I
.e
I
I
I
I
I
I
I.
I
I

Section 1: Statement of Work and Budget

Your criteria for choosing an executive search consulting firm, as we understood them, includes:

. provides the most expertise at the lowest cost
. understands you and what you need in a new city administrator
. has a record of success doing the same or similar work for other cities and similar
organizations
. has the ability to deliver results quickly

We are confident that upon review of this proposal you will find that we meet these criteria. Dr.
John Fennig has done search and selection work for over 20 years. His hundreds of
organizational clients include cities, state and federal government organizations and private
sector companies of a similar size and situation as the City of Arden Hills. As a founder of 6
companies, Dr. Fennig knows first hand what organizations need to succeed, and how to find
and select the best people to make this happen. As an industrial psychologist, Dr. Fennig uses
proven work personality profiling tools to help clients get the best talent and the best fit for their
organization. He is also a pioneer in the use of the internet for consulting. As such, DRI
Consulting uses technological tools to maximize the quality and quantity of the candidate pool,
and to make the application process as easy and fast as possible for all involved.

Our preferred method of working is team-based and collaborative. Dr. John Fennig would serve
as our team lead and point of contact and accountability to you. We would also enlist the help
of our graduate intern, Keely Orchard and her successor, should this project extend into May.
Through an initial project meeting, we can review and finalize our mutual expectations, goals,
roles, resources, work plan, time table, and budget. Key for us is to identify how we can add the
most value to what you already have, know, do well already with regard to this project.

Use us for all or part of what we do well, either as your total search and selection solution or as
an "a la carte" adjunct to your internal expertise and resources.

SearchWorks(SM): Detail of Fees for Employee Search and Selection Services from DRI
Consulting

Pre-selection Evaluation
.
