FIRM PROFILE <br /> <br />Labor Relations Associates, Inc. has served Minnesota public employers in labor relations since 1968. <br />The scope of services has included the following: <br /> <br />1. Representing public employers in various administrative hearings as needed and or/advising, <br />counseling, and making recommendations regarding: bargaining unit determinations regarding <br />the appropriate bargaining unit, and supervisory and confidential employees; disciplinary matters; <br />grievances; Unemployment Compensation; Workers' Compensation; and Veterans' Preference. <br /> <br />2. Representing public employers such as cities, counties, public utilities, and government agencies <br />in negotiations and mediation with bargaining units of professional, clerical, technical, public <br />safety, public works, semi-skilled and skilled trades, and supervisory personnel. <br /> <br />3. Representing employers or providing assistance and recommendations in grievance and interest <br />arbitration cases. <br /> <br />4. Designing, developing and implementing recruitment and selection procedures for management, <br />supervisory and non-exempt employees. <br /> <br />5. Developing, writing and assisting with the implementation of Equal Employment Opportunity and <br />Affirmative Action Programs and assisting employers responding to discrimination complaints. <br /> <br />6. Developing, writing. interpreting and providing recommendations regarding contract language for <br />bargaining unit employees. <br />
