<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />~ <br />EN HILLS <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />Agenda Item 6.A <br /> <br />July 14, 2003 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Peter Hellegers, City Planne~~* <br />.. ~ <br />Case #02-10 <br />Bethel College <br />3721 Old Highway 10 - Athletic Complex <br />Trail Easement <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a revised trail easement through the Bethel athletic <br />complex. <br /> <br />Update <br /> <br />The City Council at their February 14, 2000 approved with conditions the Special Use Permit <br />Amendment (Master Plan) and Site Plan approval for the Bethel athletic complex. Bethel was <br />also granted an amendment to the site plan for the athletic complex at the Council's June 24, <br />2002 meeting. Subsequently, staffhas worked with Bethel officials to resolve the trail easement <br />issue. <br /> <br />The attached easement would grant the City the right to use the sidewalk around the tennis courts <br />at the Bethel athletic complex for a trail as opposed to the previous location to the west. The <br />new location would allow for pedestrians using the trail to cross at one location where the grade <br />is not very steep and where there is currently a crosswalk for pedestrians to cross Old Highway <br />10. <br /> <br />PC #00-01- CC Memo 07114/2003 - Page 1 of2 <br />
