Mr. <br />Germandson indicated that the DNR would not recommend approval or denial on this particular <br />application because the scope of the variance was relatively minor and would have little impact <br />on the shoreline of Lake Johanna. In addition, the City's current Shoreland Ordinance does not <br />meet the DNR recommended standards so the DNR could not provide any formal comments. <br />Based on this information staffhas determined that condition of approval number one should be <br />removed as this condition could not be fulfilled. <br /> <br />In response to the Planning Commissioners' questions about shoreline stabilization; Mr. <br />Germandson stated that rip-rap, if properly maintained, should prevent further erosion. <br /> <br />PC #03-t9 - CC Report 08125/2003 - Page I of 3 <br />
