Resolulion No. 03-55, A Resolution Approving Lake Improvement <br />Districl Criteria for Karth Lake and Estabfishing a Date for a Public <br />Hearing <br />2. URS Study <br /> <br />Overview <br /> <br />Consistent with previous Council direction, attached is a resolution that approves the preliminary <br />engineering study necessary to establish a lake improvement district around Karth Lake. In <br />addition, a date for the public hearing to establish the district is also set. The engineering report <br />is included as "Exhibit A" in the resolution. <br /> <br />It is necessary to give the DNR 40 days notice prior to the public hearing creating the district. <br />To meet this timeline and still have the hearing on September 29th, the engineering report was <br />forwarded to the DNR on Wednesday August 20th. In short, if all goes according to plan, the <br />district should be created and the bid for the project awarded at the September 29th meeting. <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />1.
