<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />AUGUST 25, 2003 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a <br />motion to approve Resolution No. 03-56, a Resolution Opposing the <br />Closure of the Maplewood Suburban Court and Requesting Ramsey <br />County District Court Cooperatively Examine Possible Solutions. <br />The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />Mr. Parrish - Stated the City staff would be going back to non-summer hours of <br />8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting September 2,2003. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson - Stated the Lake Johanna Fire Department now had a <br />Board that governed the Fire Department. He noted the cities also had a Board <br />through a Joint Powers Board, and there was a proposal to join the two Boards so <br />there was only one Board, which he believed was a good idea. He thanked Mr. <br />Parrish and the rest of the staff for their hard work during the transition time <br />before the new City Administrator begins. Mr. Parrish noted all staff members <br />had picked up extra work and also thanked the staff. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson - Stated he would be on vacation on September 30 and <br />October 7, when the neighborhood meetings were scheduled. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem - Stated the Newsletter Committee was meeting this <br />Wednesday. She noted there was a TCAAP tour also on Wednesday and on <br />Thursday night the Advisory Panel was meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant - Stated the PTRC was not meeting in August. He asked <br />for an update on the Maintenance Facility from staff. Mr. Parrish replied they <br />were waiting for draft documents, which they had not yet received. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant asked for an update on the underpass project. Mr. Moore <br />replied the County had moved this project to next spring due to difficulties with <br />the railroad easement. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski - Thanked Mr. Parrish for his hard work and staff for picking <br />up extra work during the transition time. She stated she had a request from the <br />Shoreview History Group for a Council picture. She asked staff for <br />recommendations regarding this. <br />
