<br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />AUGUST 25, 2003 <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Rem seconded a <br />motion to approve Resolution No. 03-55: Authorizing the creation of <br />the Karth Lake Improvement District and set a public hearing. The <br />motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />8. ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />A. Resolution No. 03-54: Ramsey County Library/Arden Hills Branch <br /> <br />Mr. Parrish stated based on previous Council direction, staff had prepared a draft <br />resolution for Council review and approval. If approved, staff would forward the <br />resolution to the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners and the Ramsey County <br />Library Board to initiate further discussions. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem asked if a Councilor staff member should present this <br />Resolution to the Library Board in person. <br /> <br />Mary Ann Lindberg, 1695 Brauberry Lane, stated it would be a good idea to . <br />have this Resolution presented to the Library Board in person at their next <br />meeting. She noted she had spoken to a member of the Mounds View School <br />Board and also the Mounds View City Council for their support in keeping this <br />library open. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a <br />motion to approve Resolution No. 03-54, A Resolution Opposing the <br />Closure of the Arden Hills Library. The motion carried unanimously <br />(4-0). <br /> <br />B. Resolution No. 03-56: A Resolution Opposing Closure of the Suburban <br />Court <br /> <br />Mr. Filla stated Ramsey County District Court was contemplating closure of the <br />Maplewood Court to consolidate with its Law Enforcement Center in St. Paul. <br />This resolution would oppose the closure of this Court and request the Court to <br />examine possible solutions. He suggested directing the Resolution to the County <br />Board. <br /> <br />. <br />
