<br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />AUGUST 25, 2003 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />to cut and maintain the grass in this area. He noted the County had stated they <br />would cut the grass only as time permitted and now the City had taken over some <br />of the maintenance on County property. He stated it appeared the businesses <br />along County Road E maintained the front strip of grass, even though it was <br />County property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson summarized the concerns of the Planning Connnission <br />regarding All American Engineering. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a <br />motion to approve Planning Case No. 03-18: Insty-Prints, 1207 <br />County Road E, Sign Standard Adjustment, with the conditions as <br />outlined in staff's August 25, 2003 report. The motion carried <br />unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />B. Planning Case No. 03-19: Mohn Shoreland Variance <br /> <br />Mr. I1ellegers stated applicant was requesting a nine-foot variance to the . <br />Lakeshore setbacks established in the Zoning Ordinance and the Shoreland <br />Management Ordinance. He indicated the Planning Connnission recommended <br />approval of this request with conditions as outlined in staff's August 25, 2003 <br />report. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a <br />motion to approve Planning Case No. 03-19: Carolyn Mohn, 3459 <br />Siems Court, Lakeshore Setback Variance with the conditions as <br />outlined in staff's August 25, 2003 report. The motion carried <br />unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />7. OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />A. Authorize to Advertise for bids: Lift Station #7 <br /> <br />Mr. Landwer stated Lift Station #7 was located in the southwest comer of Lake <br />Josephine in the Presbyterian Homes property. He indicated the existing lift <br />station is of the old "can style" design and would be improved to be a submersible ... <br />pump design. He noted this project was discussed at a recent work session as a .. <br />candidate to take advantage of the favorable bid climate and utilize funds allocated <br />
