<br />Environment Goals: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I. To make the re-use of the TCAAP excess property a tangible means by which several <br />decades of pollution can be remediated. <br /> <br />2. To transform the existing land use and development pattern at the TCAAP excess <br />property, reclaim impervious surfaces, and reestablish natural environmental systems. <br /> <br />3. To make a significant commitment to establishing a healthy urban forest within the <br />TCAAP excess property and to establishing and conserving more natural drainage <br />systems and wildlife habitat. <br /> <br />4. To emulate the best available models for the environmental transformation of other <br />brownfield properties in the Re-Use Master Plan for the TCAAP excess property. <br /> <br />5. To conserve and enhance protection of the TCAAP site's unique wildlife and plant <br />species, surface water and wetland resources, and other unique topographic features. <br /> <br />6. To ensure that the north-south arterial roadway connecting TH 96 and CR I, that is <br />essential to the successful development ofthe TCAAP excess property, is designed and <br />constructed in an ecologically sensitive manner and provides for adequate movement of <br />wildlife through the wildlife corridor. <br /> <br />Community Character and Identity Goals: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1. To establish a distinct identity and character for the TCAAP site that reflects both the <br />importance of the property's history and the community's hopes for its future. <br /> <br />2. To establish and enforce a comprehensive set of design standards to ensure the full and <br />sustained realization of the desired image and character. <br /> <br />3. To extend the natural systems and vistas that exist on the undeveloped east side of the <br />TCAAP site into the redevelopment area through the Re-Use Master Plan. <br /> <br />4. To exhibit superior urban design, landscaping and site planning and include a high level <br />of natural and man-made amenities in the development of the TCAAP excess property. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4 <br />
