Moore, Director of Operations and Maintenance 1qvvtlo/ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Replacement of V ehicle #109; 1995 Ford F250 <br /> <br />Backl!round <br /> <br />On August 28, 2003 Operations and Maintenance (0 & M) vehicle #109 was involved in an <br />accident. The accident occurred at the intersection of Lake Valentine Road and Old Hwy 10. <br />Operations and Maintenance employee Aaron Andrews was the driver. No injuries were <br />involved. Ramsey County Sheriff's Department dispatched Deputy Greg Engfer to the scene. <br />An Accident Report was filed by Deputy Greg Engfer. The League of Minnesota Cities <br />Insurance Trust (LMCIT) was also contacted and all necessary reports were filed. Vehicle #109 <br />received extensive damage. It was un-drivable and had to be carried on a flatbed truck back to <br />the 0 & M facility. <br /> <br />Cost <br /> <br />The proposed replacement vehicle will be a 2004 Ford F250, Super Duty, 4x4 truck equipped <br />with a trailer tow package, snow plow package and maximum tread tires. The cost of this <br />vehicle, with Sales Tax and License included is $22,572.64. It will cost an additional $1,500.00 <br />to have the vehicle painted Arden Hills tan. Utilities, with Sales Tax, will cost an additional $5, <br />927.36. These utilities include the trailer tow package, snow plow package and a Whelen Dot III <br />light system. Final cost of proposed replacement vehicle is $30,000.00.
