<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 27,2003 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Holden seconded <br />a motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented and to <br />authorize execution of all necessary documents contained therein. <br />The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br /> <br />Lisa McCallum stated she had lived in the City for 13 years. She noted her <br />comments were related to the construction on Highway 96 and asked if there <br />would be sound barriers once the construction was completed. She stated it was <br />difficult to get across Hamline Avenue and she felt that the city was just roads <br />with no connection of neighborhoods. Mayor Aplikowski replied it was her <br />understanding a sound barrier was not being considered at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown replied during the County's design process, a sound barrier was not <br />considered because of the driveway cuts. <br /> <br />Ms. McCallum asked the City to be more conscientious about sending out more <br />infonnation regarding the Highway 96 construction. She also asked about a <br />pedestrian crossing signal on Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem asked staff to look into the cost of adding a pedestrian <br />crossing signal on Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />5. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A. Plan nine: Case No. 03-12, Bie: Ten Request for Variance <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski opened the public hearing at 7:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Hellegers stated the applicant requested this item be continued to the <br />November 10, 2003 Council Meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a <br />motion to postpone the Public Hearing for Planning Case #03-12, Big Ten Request <br />
