<br />, <br /> <br />URS <br />. <br /> <br />Ms, Michelle Wolfe <br />November 19, 2003 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />The Engineer has no direct experience working with the low bidder, EnComm Midwest, lnc, We requested <br />references from Encomm Midwest, Inc, and they provided a list of five projects in the Twin Cities that resembled <br />the Booster Station Project. Based upon our discussions with those references the Engineer is confident that <br />EnComm Midwest Inc. is capable of successfully completing the work included with this project. <br /> <br />The project cost for the Booster Station hnprovements including Engineering and Construction Services expenses <br />will be approximately $196,000. The 2003 CIP budget for this project is $325,000. <br /> <br />Recommendations <br />Based on review of the bids for Schedule A: Booster Station and Schedule B: Bid Alternate 1 and with subsequent <br />discussions with the Contractor and the references they provided, we feel that the bid represents a reasonable cost <br />for the work associated with the Booster Station and the Roll Garage Door.
